INSTANT POT CRISP LID FRIES

Based on a review on Amazon and a bit of experimentation!

Ingredients

  • 300g russet potatoes

  • Vegetable oil

  • Salt to taste

Serves 2 as a side dish.

Method

  1. Cut russet potatoes into fries (I don’t peel them but you can if you like).

  2. Soak potatoes in cold water and refrigerate overnight.

  3. Change the water periodically if you can remember.

  4. When ready to cook, drain the water and dry fries with a paper towel or dish cloth.

  5. Place fries in air fryer basket.

  6. Toss with vegetable oil and salt.

  7. Air fry at 400°F for 25 minutes.

  8. At halfway point, turn fries, brush with oil, and lightly salt.

  9. Check on fries and air fry at 400°F for an additional 5 minutes if required.

  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If using frozen fries, measure out 300g of fries and air fry at 400°F for 20 minutes. At halfway point, turn fries, brush with oil, and lightly salt.
