SALTED CARAMEL
& PEANUT BUTTER
RICE KRISPIES SQUARES

Adapted from the recipe on the box.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter

  • ¼ cup peanut butter

  • 200 grams mini marshmallows

  • 125-150 grams sea salt caramel chips

  • 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal

Method

  1. Grease a casserole dish with a bit of butter.

  2. Slowly melt butter in a large saucepan over low-medium heat.

  3. Stir in the peanut butter until combined with the melted butter.

  4. Add marshmallows stir frequently as they melt into the butter and peanut butter mixture.

  5. Turn off heat, add cereal and salted caramel chips, and mix well.

  6. Place the oooey gooey treats into the prepared casserole dish.

  7. Press down on the treats to even out the surface.

  8. Wait for the treats to cool, cut into squares, and enjoy!

Notes:

  • You can omit the peanut butter and sea salt caramel chips if you prefer plain Rice Krispies squares.

  • Instead of sea salt caramel chips, you can use regular chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, etc.
