Ingredients
For the turmeric spice mix:
4 tablespoons ground turmeric
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon white pepper (optional)
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
⅛ teaspoon ground clove (optional)
For the turmeric milk:
1 heaped teaspoon turmeric milk mix
2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
2 teaspoons hot water
1 cup milk
Makes 1 serving of turmeric milk (with lots of spice mix remaining for future servings).
Method
To make the turmeric spice mix, add all ingredients to a small jar and shake or stir thoroughly to combine.
To make turmeric milk, add turmeric milk mix, honey or maple syrup and hot water to a small saucepan.
Whisk to combine.
Add milk and warm over medium heat until just hot but not boiling, whisking a few times every now and then.
Pour into a mug and enjoy while still warm.
Notes
You can substitute ground black pepper for white pepper.
I usually use oat or almond milk but you can use any milk you wish.
